After several rumours, Antalyspor striker and Cameroon’s legend Samuel Eto’o is in China to complete his medicals for Chinese club Dalian Yifang.
The striker who scored his ninth goal for his Turkish club Antalyspor last weekend, is expected to conclude his move to Dalian Yifang for a two year contract. Eto’o, one time football’s highest paid player, is expected to bank an estimated € 4 million annually should he join Dalian. Added to this is a big bonus should the team gain promotion into the Chinese top flight first division.
The option also provides a probability to see Samuel Eto’o serve as the head coach for Dalian Yifang. The four time African player of the year’s current club Antalyspor is also expected to profit from the transfer whose amount will be disclosed later.
In February 2015, Samuel Eto’o Fils reportedly turned down a $14.1m move to the Chinese League. The former Inter, Chelsea and Everton striker was involved in a bust up with his coach days after joining Sampdoria.
